Reminder: We try and make the dates displayed on Bartec tools as accurate as possible, but the Model Year (which will match the VIN number), is not necessarily the same as either the date the vehicle was manufactured, or the date that the vehicle was registered. Please take care with replacement parts if your vehicle is within about six months of a change date. Reading the original sensors is the safest way to be sure that you have the correct Make, Model, Year selection. Only Bartec tools will tell you that the sensor is incorrect for the MMY selection.

“An example would be a Kia Sportage registered in 02/2016, which could be any of three possible selections on our tool, but only one will read the sensors:

Selecting the Kia Sportage 04/2014 -> 12/2015 Hi Line could give the message “Incorrect Sensor Found Check part number”
Selecting the Kia Sportage 04/2014 -> 12/2015 Lo Line could give the message “Read OK”
Selecting the Kia Sportage 2016+ could give the message “Sensor Failure Detected”

In this case you should use the Kia Sportage 04/2014 -> 12/2015 Lo Line selection.”
